RETURN TO TERRA

Return to Terra, crafts an emotional and physical experience that responds to the effects of climate change on the Antarctic landscape. Feelings of resistance and persistence are threaded through the work as way to connect our human experience to the realities of the ever-changing natural world.

Return to Terra is a reimagining of Nanette Hassall’s work Terra 3, the final piece in a choreographic trilogy and the last work she created at WAAPA. As original cast members of Terra 3, Ella-Rose and Emma have taken their memory of Hassall’s choreographic legacy, fleshing out the elements and explorative histories of Antarctic landscape that were the original inspiration of Terra 3.
